"I knew you'd be there."

"Don't have much time to talk, Mell. Busy morning. What's up?"

"I need Mumbai to explain something for me."

"Mell, seriously. We're really busy today."

"Come on, captain. Your long financals trade not working out so well?"

"Mell..."

"I just need some of Yellow Curry's genius to explain something for me."

"Don't do that, Mell. He's a good kid."

"Bloomberg says, 'Lehman compounded its losses by increasing bets against mortgage indexes before the second quarter, in preparation for the company's de-leveraging effort... Lehman lost $500 million to $700 million from the trades when the indexes rose.'"

"What's wrong with that, Mell?"

"Just get Curry on the phone."

"Mell, stop being a jerk."

(silence)

"I mean, Jesus. You have got to calm the fuck down. Ever since Felicity left, you've been like this huge prick. No offense, Mell. But you have got to get your shit together and calm the fuck down."

(silence)

"You should call her, Mell. Do yourself a favor. Call her. Nothing has to be permanent. You want her back, and I'm sure she wants to come back. Don't play hard to get."

(silence)

"Mell, you know I'm right. You're the one always telling me that thing Clarence Thomas likes to say, right?"

(silence)

"Come on, Mell.  You remember.  It's a great line.  'Life is long.'  You used to tell me that all the time."

(silence)

"You've just gotta be the first one to make the move. That's all, Mell. You just gotta man up and do it. I know you can do it, Mell."

(silence)

"Mell?"

(silence)

"Hello?"

(silence)

"Oh, for fuck's sake."
